Early July

Celebrate the 4th of July in Breckenridge. This town offers near-perfect summer weather and a full line of entertainment, activities, and fun. Celebrate the 4th with a 10k trail run, 50-mile bike race, arts festival, kid’s activities, concerts, and a parade on Main Street! Finish this patriotic holiday with a concert from the National Repertory Orchestra at the Riverwalk Center.

Food and Wine Festival

Late July

Calling all food and wine lovers! This delicious festival usually takes place around the end of July. Come with an empty stomach and ready to try new flavors. Experience local vendors offering small bites and pours of their most popular selections. Enjoy live music, dancing, and over 300 wines to try! Choose between an all weekend pass, VIP experience, or the Grand Tasting day pass.

Mid September

Each September, Breckenridge closes Main Street for 3 days to bring the feel of Munich to town. Pre-purchase drink tokens and a souvenir stein online as this is a cashless event. Whether it’s the local beer, delicious German snacks, live music, and dancing, or to celebrate tradition- Oktoberfest in Breckenridge is the event of the year you do NOT want to miss!

Biking

Breckenridge offers many biking trails all throughout town. With over 100 miles of biking terrain, this town offers trails ranging from first timers and experts. Biking season typically begins as the skiing season ends in May. If you’re traveling from afar, try a rental from Alpine Sports or Avalanche Sports.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

If you’re looking for an easy way to get on the water and test your balance, stand-up paddle boarding (commonly called SUP) is for you! There are many places in town that have paddle board rentals if you’re traveling empty-handed. For even more of a challenge, try SUP yoga on Maggie Pond!
